Port Elizabeth[伊麗莎白港]

Port Elizabeth

During our stay in Johannesburg, we took a short trip to Port Elizabeth which is a beautiful seaport south of Johannesburg.

It took 90 minutes to fly to Port Elizabeth. Although it was a rather short flight, the British Airways offered a light meal anyway.

meal offered on the domestic flight to P.E.
Light meal that including a pack of vege pita sandwich and their selection of drinks (I always get Ginger Ale though:J).

Coast line along Port Elizabeth
We drove along the beautiful shores of Algoa Bay and the view was magnificent!! The ocean you see here is Indian Ocean.

yeah…McDonald is everywhere…well, it seems like Starbucks hasn’t invaded Africa yet, as I couldn’t find any during my stay in Africa…

local market in Port Elizabeth
King’s Beach Flea Market

Street in P.E.
Random Street in Port Elizabeth. (I took this shot in the car…). it looks a bit ghetto, at least that’s how I feel=P (this is pretty close to their industrial area where the factories are located)

Port Elizabeth seems to be a quiet and peaceful place to me (no kidding, it’s super peaceful like I should be retired or something). The natural scenes are great, i.e. beaches, bay, and the Indian Ocean. It might be nice for a two-day trip or so, but you’ll probably get bored after the third day=P There are plenty of water sports you do due to its location and great weather. Other than that, I’ll say it’s nice to visit but if I have options (or time), I’d probably go to Cape Town instead=D

[FYI]
